Marblehead, MA, March 31, 2004 Birnbach Communications, Inc., announced today that it has added two new financial software companies to its client roster: Whitebirch Software and Oversight Systems. The new clients retained the agency for its media relations, executive visibility, and product reviews expertise. The agency also works with clients in the security, hardware and software, semiconductors, healthcare and life sciences, nonprofit and consumer sectors. For Salem, MA-based Whitebirch Software (www.whitebirchsoftware.com), Birnbach is handling the most important announcement in the company's five-year history: the launch of the next version of its flagship Projected Financials 3.0 software. Used by customers in a range of industries, including financial services, retail, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, legal services, semiconductor, and accounting, Projected Financials is a professional financial modeling and forecasting application with the power to replace spreadsheets as the tool of choice for business modeling, business forecasting, and strategic business planning. "This new version of Projected Financials has been completely rewritten, offering significant new features and benefits, like Scenario Editor™, which enables users to develop realistic what-if scenarios," said Michael Hoffmann, President, Whitebirch Software. "We were impressed with Birnbach's product review expertise, and feel that it's critical to get reviewers' attention to validate what our existing customers already know: that Projected Financials is an easier, faster and more accurate tool than spreadsheets to develop financial models that can help management make the right decisions. We're already seeing positive results." Atlanta-based Oversight Systems (www.oversightsystems.com) retained the agency for an executive visibility program, including speaking opportunities. Oversight develops the industry's first continuous transaction incident monitoring system to tackle the threats from authorized users performing unauthorized transactions. Oversight's patent-pending system monitors enterprise financial systems to detect, prevent and deter financial loss from systems-based fraud, misuse and errors that otherwise might not be caught. "We're a new company, but our executive team has decades of management experience in information security, fraud examination, business intelligence and financial systems integration," said Patrick Taylor, Chief Executive Officer, Oversight. "Birnbach is helping us to increase executive visibility, showcase our expertise, and reach potential customers." "Accountability is a critical business issue in a post-Enron, post-Tyco world. We feel that financial software companies like Whitebirch and Oversight can help executives through the enhanced accuracy they provide their customers. For Whitebirch, that means customers have greater accuracy in developing forecasts that can help them decide to make acquisitions or help them raise funds. For Oversight, that means customers can quickly and accurately determine and prevent financial fraud," said Norman Birnbach, President, Birnbach Communications, Inc.
